If you’re passionate about sales, want high income potential, and don’t fit the traditional corporate model, then a career in mortgage banking consumer direct sales might be right for you. HGF Mortgage Loan Officers drive their own business within our business and are provided a wide variety of tools and support to accomplish individual and team goals. In addition to using leading mortgage technology platforms, we provide our LOs with inbound customer calls of customers looking for a mortgage as well as a variety of other leads. Like all successful individuals, you’ll need to work hard, think creatively, and be interested in earning high income.

As the customer face of our Consumer Direct Channel, our Loan Officers:

  • Must be a fully trained Mortgage Loan Officer and licensed to originate mortgage loans in at least one state. HGF will pay for additional training and state licensing as needed to support our business
  • Consult with our customers about current and future needs in obtaining mortgage financing (purchase or refinance) and provide superior customer service
  • Employ our industry-leading mortgage technology to conduct credit, underwriting, and financial analyses to qualify customers for various mortgage loan programs
  • Understand and explain to customers how our technology informs customers as to their loan status and always provide exceptional customer experiences with ongoing personal communication throughout the entire loan process

To become a successful HGF Mortgage Loan Officer, you need:

  • A friendly upbeat attitude and the desire to truly help customers
  • To be self-motivated and easily adaptable to rapidly changing environments
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A drive to grow your income within our system
  • NMLS License

We don’t expect candidates to have:

  • The ability to make cold calls. You’ll only talk to people who are already looking to buy or refi.
  • Follow-up Mortgage Loan Officer training
  • On-the-job coaching and real-time feedback
  • Excellent compensation and benefits including a 90-day income guarantee and targeted total income in the top 25% of consumer direct lenders
  • Potential for sales recognition trips at top resorts
